The Talkshop wishes everyone a Happy New Year for 2013

Well, I didn’t expect this. A hockeystick has been found in Talkshop data as well as in Josh’s Christmas card. See below the break for details…

Cheers everyone, for making this the busiest and best year at the Talkshop since it opened its doors in late 2009. From the aftermath of the Climate Cops raiding my home, through the intense interest and controversy surrounding Nikolov and Zeller’s work, and onto the revelations around co2’s relationship with temperature, and exciting developments in the successful publication by Nicola Scafetta and Abreu et al of the planetary theory, we finally arrive at the storm around Parncutt’s Plan and his subsequent public humiliation at years end.

It’s been a blast, thanks to all of you. Let’s rock on into 2013 and keep up the momentum in developing the new theory of climate which includes all the relevant factors, and chops the ones which have been overblown down to size.

Oh look, it’s a legitimate hockey stick… you don’t see those very often.

Congratulations…. and keep up the good work.

  2. Thanks for all the hard work, Rog. And let’s get Gummer!

  3. colliemum says:

Blimey – is it a year already since the raid on Tallbloke Towers?
Time does pass quickly when one has fun!
Keep up the good work, Rog and a Happy New year to you and all who comment – with a special honourable mention to Tim Channon for the station project!
And thanks to Josh for this excellent update on the good old Partridge song!

  4. johnbuk says:

Hey, it’s better than we thought!!

Happy New Year and thank you for all you’ve done for us Deniers – see you at the scaffold. ;-)

  5. tgmccoy says:

Happy New Year from the high, cold NE Oregon mountains- expecting-20C here,,, we do have snow on the ground which is a good thing…

  6. wayne says:

Wow, 20k visitors, seems there’s more than just a few who want to know.

    Happy New Year everyone! :)

  7. Max™‮‮ says:

Hmmm, from the look of that chart I wonder how many visitors you can expect in 2100?

Millions? Billions? As I understand it, you can plot arbitrary increases across any length of time reliably, if I’ve learned anything I’ve been told about the climate, at least.

On the thousandth day of Talkshop my True Friends gave to me:

    A million sceptics laughing
    Ten Chicken Littles clucking
    Fi-ive Golden Ratios
    Four calling nerds
    Three hecklers
    Two total luvvies
And an Emperor with no clothes to see.
    :)

  9. pyromancer76 says:

Congratulations on a real hockey stick — and many more. Thanks for an intelligent and insightful blog that will “go where few scientists have dared to go before” and, yet, remain faithful to the scientific method.

  10. Joe's World {Progressive Evolution} says:

    TB,

    ….and a one…pain in the ass Joe!!!! :-)

    Happy New Year!
May you even be more successful in this coming New Year!

  11. Zeke says:

    Are you tempted to smooth out the handle? (;

    Thanks for everything this year.

  12. G. Watkins says:

Well done. Have a good New Year and keep up the flow of excellent articles.

  13. Gail Combs says:

    Congratulation Rog.
Here in the sunny South of the USA (mid North Carolina) it is 21°F or -6°C. (we normally get a sprinkle of snow once every five years) BRRRRrrrrr

I want some Global Warming! Or at least my morning Cuppa.

  14. Arfur Bryant says:

Oh Dear, this is terrible news! If it’s anything like the real, proper, consensus, peer-reviewed IPCC hockeystick done by ‘proper’ scientists… then you can expect to get far fewer visitors next year!

Please no more projections about the future!

Seriously, tallbloke, many congrats on a great site and all the best for 2103.

    Arfur

[Reply] Thanks Arfur, I’m buoyed by your confidence that I’ll still be around to run the blog in 2103. ;)

  15. Bob Tisdale says:

Happy New Year, Roger, and to the visitors here.

    Regards

  16. Arfur Bryant says:

    Rog, yeah, whatever…

The power of positive thort, mon brave. :)

  17. tallbloke says:

  19. tchannon says:

I was wondering, where be The Rog.

In which case I’ll pin this post at top of a little while.

Best Wishes for 2013 TB. I am a frequent visitor to your blog and enjoy the site thoroughly. Your scientifically inclined contibutors often leave me standing but I can usually follow the logic. I hope Glen and Morangie were good company. Happy New Year to all.
