Greg Laden lies about Anthony Watts, twice. When will he ever learn?

Greg Laden has put up a second post now where he again refuses a link to the original story at WUWT where Anthony Watts put strong caveats on the story content, not quoted by Laden.
The story, about a scientist’s claim to have found a fossil diatom in a meteorite was well flagged by Anthony as unlikely to be true. Laden carefully snipped Anthony’s strongly worded caveat to make it appear as if he was posting the story uncritically. Now in a second post he compounds his untruthful behaviour further.

Anthony Watts tells me:

He further UPS the lying by claims of my hatred of children’s futures, oblivious to the fact that I have two grade school children myself.

Clearly he is being purposely mendacious.

I’ve responded to Anthony by mail with some information he may find useful.

I won’t give traffic to Greg Laden from this blog.

Anthony’s post regarding Laden’s actions is here.

Virtual pop corn ain’t fattening – I’m sitting here with a nice bag of it … :-)

It was good to see from Anthony’s post with the screen cap that Mr Laden wrote that Anthony is a denailist [sic]. Tru dat: Anthony is de-nailing one faux ‘scientist’ after the other, one nail at a time …

Laden’s behaviour reminds me of a Warner Brothers cartoon where a huge rock is falling… and the coyote attempts to shield himself by using an umbrella.

Tony reports, you decide. Read the comments over there. No one liked that post. The common response was WTF and why are you posting this crap.

  4. tallbloke says:

What Eli studiously avoids recognising is that whatever the merits or otherwise of the thesis, it was presented with strong caveats in red ink which were selectively removed to leave the impression that Anthony Watts was gullible or foolish. It’s a lie, and Eli knows it. Eli is therefore indulging in the same sort of intellectual dishonesty as Greg Laden.

    “Laden clearly has issues…”

Issues? He’s got an entire subscription.

Yep, he’s truly laden with them.
