WMO03529, Pershore

52 08 54N 02 02 28W
Altitude 35 metres

Estimated Class 2/3, fails Class 2 on fence and ground cover but road area is 6.6%, limit 10%.

UHI, local road, taxiway, runways, former airbase, distance 37km south Birmingham, broadly rural. The bank of trees the other side of the road is worrying, will be planted and fast growing, no doubt yet more artifice, country is infested.

Current CET (Central England Temperature site) “Data from a small number of stations are used, the 2007 core network being Rothamsted (Herts), Pershore (Worcs) and Stonyhurst (Lancs).” — Met Office

Note: not marked as climatic in the WMO list, search me.

Fence and vegetation from road. End of 1.3km runway visible (shorter of the runways).

I will have much more to say about CET although nothing to do with this project, likely to be eyebrow raising.

WWII airbase.
