Artist Perry Grayson has made a vase decorated with motifs related to Chris Huhne, smashed it with a lump hammer, and repaired it, before displaying it in the National Portrait Gallery.
Grayson Perry’s vase features speed cameras, penises, Huhne, his mobile phone, personalised number plates, and wind turbines.
The Guardian omits mentioning the wind turbines in its write up. Grayson Perry explains his approach:
He was there as a powerful white male who potentially was going to lose some of that power. I was interested in what effect prison and that condemnation would have on his confidence and identity. Of course he hasn’t changed. There’s not a flicker. I was fascinated and appalled. I’m white, male, middle-aged myself, and if there’s one aspect I feel alienated by, it’s the class thing. So to see someone with that chutzpah and bullet-proof, Teflon, confidence close up is fascinating. And sort of horrifying. At one point, he bragged and said something like, ‘I must be the only politician who comes out of prison without changing’.
Of course, we know why Huhne was so smug on his release from the comfy nick where he served a fraction of his sentence. He’d already got some fat directorships with ‘green energy’ companies and a rehabilitation by the BBC lined up.

Huhne has been wrong on every level. This pamphlet on joining the Euro is illustrative of his stupidity.

Shamelessness is the only virtue with that “class.”
It is conventionally known as the “will to power,” but it is shameless in every other area of life as well.

Poor chap. No more effect than prison where as he said, nothing to it.
