Another dud from Climate BS Inc: ‘UN Embarrassed by Forecast on Climate Refugees’

50 million migrants forecast by 2010 but ‘populations are growing in the regions that had been identified as environmental danger zones.’ [2011 report]

    Abstract
This paper deals with cyclical effect of Jupiter on Earth’s climate. The period of Earth’s interaction with Jupiter and of its effect on the position of Earth’s orbit is approximately equal to 11.86 years and the Earth’s temperature seasonal fluctuations is equal to 12 months. Modeling indicates that the superposition of large planets’ (mostly Jupiter) that effect Earth’s climate should result in the modulation of seasonal temperature fluctuations of ±2.5 °C with the total period of 12 years. The real climatic fluctuations in the near-surface areas of Earth are modified first of all by the Sun’s revolution around the center of mass of the Solar system, as affected by the gravitational pull of large planets (Jupiter and Saturn).

“Even significant releases of anthropogenic carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere do not change average parameters of the Earth’s heat regime and have no essential effect on the Earth’s climate warming. Moreover, based on the adiabatic model of heat transfer, the writers showed that additional releases of CO2 and CH4 lead to cooling (and not to warming as the proponents of the conventional theory of global warming state) of the Earth’s atmosphere. The additional methane releases possess a double cooling effect: First, they intensify convection in the lower layers of troposphere; Second, the methane together with associated water vapor intercept part of the infrared solar irradiation reaching the Earth. Thus, petroleum production and other anthropogenic activities resulting in accumulation of additional amounts of methane and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have practically no effect on the Earth’s climate.”

A wave of bad weather is coming down from Wednesday in the Middle East. In the Gaza Strip, hit by wind, rain and snow, the budget is four dead, including three children. Medical sources said quoted by the news agency Maan. The three children are dead: a baby two months, found dead in the cold in a refugee camp in Bet Hanun in the northern Gaza Strip; a child who died of a month for the same reason; and a little girl, she’s a few months, died asphyxiated yesterday in the small village of kuza because of a stove that parents had lit to warm up. The fourth victim is instead a fisherman of 22 years who died of cold while working at the beach.

Saturday daytime will continue mostly dry, except for some snow showers in eastern and central regions. Lapland has variably cloudy skies and temperatures as low as -30C

By Sunday morning, parts of the country south of a line running between Pori and Kotka are likely to see an accumulation of 10cm-15cm of fresh snow, with deeper drifts in some areas.

During the day Sunday, snowfall will continue generally in the south and some parts of central Finland. In the north, the forecast is for clear skies and temperatures falling in some places to around -35C. Winds will add an extra bite to sub-zero temperatures throughout the country.

More cold weather is in the forecast for Monday, with temperatures in the south of the country below -10C and possibly below -30C in Lapland.

  9. The climate puzzle is very elusive and has many mysteries left to be resolved. That said I think we are on the correct path on this site and I hope very low prolonged solar minimal activity will help prove this to be so as this decade proceeds.

In my opinion mainstream climatology is out to lunch.

This 2010 headline from Germany’s equivalent of The Times (Die Welt) rates a mention:
