Interviewed by Nick Ferrari on LBC radio this morning, Natalie tells Nick she’s going to build 500,000 social homes. Nick asks how much it’ll cost. Natalie shuffles her feet, coughs, feigns a severe cold, and then says costings will be done, but won’t appear in the manifesto. 3 mins audio. Enjoy.

    This is appalling. How can anyone take this woman and her party seriously? This is way beyond car-crash territory, having run into Andrew Neil a couple of weeks ago you’d think she’d have learned something from that. This sounded like a visit to Dignitas, metaphorically and almost literally.

    But her really disastrous interview came later on LBC, where Nick Ferrari backed Bennett into a corner on her party’s plans to build half a million new social homes.

    Well no wonder Nick went after her, when he is being called out by name for higher taxes to pay for all this.
