The headline is correct. For those who wish to know the level of deceit to which the DECC has sunk to,go to
When the page comes up,hit LINKS that you will see there, and it opens up an amazing list of Refs that will tell you all you need to know about the big Green Lie.

Changes in the polar vortex will shorten the growing season of cereals in countries such as Canada, Russia, the Scandinavian countries.

  3. ren says:

Let us see forecast temperature on 6 March in the northern hemisphere.

  4. Bob Weber says:

I just read the article, and except for the GHG/global warming connection, they are spot on with all the issues. I’m not concerned about carbon footprints and carbon emissions as they don’t cause temperatures to go up, despite popular propaganda.

My experience on this matter was shared here earlier this week, FWIW:

  5. Bob Weber says:

ren, where have you been hiding? I expected to see a lot more plots and graphics from you lately, Mr. Polar Vortex!!!

… it’s been so cold I haven’t wanted to go out and cut any wood this week. It’s been -10F to -35F at night regularly here in N. Michigan, w/o the wind chill.

Any predictions on when your friend the polar vortex is going to break down?

I hope you’ve been staying warm wherever you’re been hiding out.

When are you going to be in my area, so we can sit down and have a cup of good coffee and tell war stories about your vortex friend and all those sudden stratospheric warmings?

  6. ren says:

Very strong lock (ozone) polar vortex over eastern Siberia and Hudson Bay.

  7. ren says:

Bob thanks for the invitation. Buy yourself an extract of hawthorn and eat a lot of fish oil, take care of the heart.

  8. Bob Weber says:

Thanx for the links ren. Say, you wouldn’t happen be camped out in an igloo on the arctic circle somewhere with your polar vortex meter and satellite dish stuck to your roof?

  9. ren says:

Bob I am sorry, but it still will be a lot of snow and a little warmer.

  10. Bob Weber says:

ren, I was hoping the vortex would stick around for another 10 days or so in order for Lake Superior to freeze over 100%, so I can win a bet! Do my chances look good?

  11. ren says:

Bob whether it can be 99%? Ontario is based.

  12. Bob Weber says:

    That was interesting. Thank you.

  13. ren says:

I also thank you. I am sending you a cosmic energy, known in Japan REIKI.

  14. SnowDog says:

I don’t agree with you on this one. Burning biomass does not add to atmospheric CO2 because the carbon that is emitted into the atmosphere must first be sequestered from the atmosphere when the trees are grown for wood. This represents a cycle that’s in balance.

If it’s true that the Earth’s chronic CO2 increase is caused by releasing carbon into the atmosphere which has been locked beneath the earth for eons, then only this type of carbon would contribute to the chronic increase.

  15. Bob Weber says:

No wonder my ears are ringing, ren!

  16. p.g.sharrow says:

The burning of American wood fuel in British power plant is a major win for the English Ecoloons! NO! CO2 emissions at all!

“In reporting emissions the UK follows the requirements of IPCC guidelines on International Greenhouse Gas reporting. In order to avoid double counting of emissions and removals, the reporting convention is that the CO2 contained within biological materials, such as wood pellets, which are to be burnt for energy purposes, such as electricity generation, is accounted for by the harvesting country. This emission is reported by countries included under the forest management sector.”

Any emissions count against the Americans and the Americans are not allowed to count their forests towards sequestering the CO2. The Drax plant has NO countable CO2 emissions of CO2. What is not to like? pg
