Scottish Sceptic has an amusing piece about the forthcoming climate charade in Paris, which looks like being as full of hot air as it is empty of credible substance:
There’s a boringly familiar pattern to these climate talks in Paris. The rhetoric is all about making deals, but the reality is that everyone is backpedalling furiously behind the scenes trying the darnest to prevent any serious deal getting made. But what is different this time is that if anything the parties are being far more open in their desire not to come to any deal this time than all the previous clown fests from Jokenhagen onward.
The previous pattern has always been the pretence of vigorous negotiations, a last minute “deal” and a final push to agree a document … which basically says they agree to meet next time to discuss pretty much the same things they were supposed to discuss this time.
However, these agreements agreeing to meet again to “agree” the same basic text they were supposed to agree this time at the next meeting, seem to satisfy the Greens.

Peter Foster: G7 kicks the climate can off the planet
‘It’s a victory for Harper, and a sign that December’s UN meeting in Paris is doomed to fail.
The G7 this week committed to deal with greenhouse gas emissions on a similar timetable to the colonization of Mars. The group of leading developed countries solemnly pledged to “decarbonize” the world by 2100, thus kicking the can not so much down the road as off the planet. This represents a clear victory for Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s refusal to inflict pointless economic damage.’

Beware of this- the Allinsky way is to lull people into boredom and then impose a big surprise, prepared offstage in secret.
World oil consumption heading towards 95 million barrels a DAY.
Not replacing that with power from renewables any time soon.

I’m inclined to Hunter’s view.
The current impression is that China and India won’t agree to anything that ties their hands over energy policy. No doubt Russia feels the same.
Reblogged this on Centinel2012 and commented:
I think this one is different and they will have a deal. Obma has even got the Pope to agree with climate change and look at all the new junk coming out that this is the hottest years even in history, of course they got the by making the past colder. I can be wrong but will all that is going on now I’d say that it will happen, if for no other reason than this is the last change for Obama to get this.

I tend to agree! Have you checked the number of weapons American idiots have? We got more weapons then they got bullets! Nothing peaceful is likely!
The hand-wringing of warmers is already under way. They think they can have a made-to-order climate regime, or something 😐
Climate change progress ‘too slow’
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-33092862
As an American what I see is a Communist (violent revolution) instead of a Fabian (slow progress) in the White House.
William R. Russell who was in Russia soon after the Bolsheviks seized power, spent considerable time there, working on Creel propaganda against the Germans, for the Bolsheviks, and later against the Bolsheviks. Russell described how he saw the communist tradecraft:
(From Willing Accomplices: How KGB Covert Influence Agents Created Political Correctness and Destroyed America, a book by Kent Clizbe former CIA.)
So what do we see in the USA over the last decade that has already happened?
1. The increase in racial tensions due to race baiting originating in the White House. Increase civil unrest in the cities thanks to the hatred towards police that the MSM has stirred up and to Al Sharpton and his Traveling Troop of Professional Protesters. . The Baltimore, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake held a press conference during the riots in Baltimore MD…
So now De-Policing: — the wholesale withdrawal of policing from the inner cities, has become the new way of dealing with the hatred towards police that the White House and MSM has caused.
2. The removal of the Law of Posse Comitatus that kept police and military powers statutorily divided and prevented the use of the military in domestic law enforcement.
3. The formation of the “Homeland Security” department supposedly to combat the threat seen from foreign muslims during the 9/11 attack. Yet the muslim immigration DOUBLED per year after 9/11 with 1/2 the immigration coming from ‘hot spots’ On top of that all muslim incidences are down played, called work place or domestic violence and we are now told the REAL THREAT is from ‘Homegrown Terrorists”
4. February 24 2008 Canada-U.S. pact allows cross-border military activity — Canada and the U.S. have signed an agreement that paves the way for the military from either nation to send troops across each other’s borders during an emergency
5. Obama Fired 197 US Senior Military Commanders in 5 years with nine Generals fired in 2013.
6. The bringing of local law enforcement under the Department of Homeland Security. This helps moves feelings of loyalty from the local community TO the feds.
Who’s to Blame for Battlefield America? by John W. Whitehead a Constitutional attorney, gives a good overall view of the change in the last decade
This straight from the Department of Homeland Security shows ….a rigorous training exercise utilizing armored vehicles…
What I now see is a country divided. Blacks hate the police and whites, the whites resent and fear the blacks and the police, many ex-military are now trained to view the public as “The Enemy”
So what does all that have to do with Global Warming?
I see it as providing the tinder for a major explosion. The match to light it off is the closure of coal plants especially along the eastern seaboard in the most populated (and oldest) areas
The situation is now very similar to that of the New York City blackout of 1977. In contrast to the 1965 and 2003 blackouts, the 1977 blackout resulted in city-wide looting and other disorders, including arson. The reason? The whole country was suffering from a protracted economic downturn and there was racial tensions. Following the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr there were wide spread and deadly riots in 1968. WIKI lists The Civil Rights Movement and Black Power period as 1955–1977.
The NYC 1977 riot was due to a 24 hour blackout. It caused 1,037 fires and 550 police officers were injured. 1,616 stores were damaged in the looting and rioting resulting in over $300 million in damage.
Why ever would a country’s leadership want to destroy it?
The first reason is seen in Christchurch NZ (Long but worth the read.)
Destruction of cities and surrounding areas via riots and fire is the quickest way to advance the building of Agenda 21 Transit Villages, especially if the normal government is suspended via martial law.
The second reason is ridding the country of a lot of ‘Useless Eaters.’ — Think of the Department of Homeland Securities plans to buy 1.6 billion rounds of Ammo, including nearly 200 million rounds of sniper ammunition over the next few years. Enough ammo for a twenty year war in the USA.
As E. M. Smith (ChiefIO) has pointed out the Socialists are running out of other people’s money to bribe voters to vote for them. Social Security and Welfare in the USA was always a Ponzi Scheme and it is going to run out in the next decade or so. Greece is running out already. Since most in the USA are now brainwashed ‘socialists’ the switch to a straight out Communist country like China, is seen as the next desired step.
Heck, Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was trained by Al Gore. She came right out and said that democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. Communist China, she said, is the best model. She also said
