Sir Paul Nurse gets debagged by Justin Webb.

The Brexit Door

I was driving to down to Upton Park for the early kick off on Saturday morning, with (to the chagrin of both my wife and youngest son), the Today program on the radio. At about 7:50, Professor Sir Paul Nurse was interviewed over the need to ‘remain in the EU’ for the sake of science.

To call it a ‘car crash’ would be to underestimate the awfulness of Nurse’s performance. From a standing start he went from Baritone almost to outraged Soprano in less than 5 minutes, as his arguments unravelled in the face of what was for once, a very well informed interviewer in Justin Webb.

But this foolishness over science should be unravelled once and for all. The arguments put forward that somehow the scientific research community will find work and life intolerable outside the EU is nonsense and must be shown for what it is.

Firstly, Nurse…

  1. There’s no surprise that those who lied about the climate in order to push their vile politics at the rest of us under the false name of “science”, would also like the corruption and anti-democratic views of the EU.

The only thing that does surprise me is that the BBC didn’t give a pro-EU supporter the same kind of sycophantic interviews they gave the same people on global warming.

Here on the USA side of the pond the nightly news had some petty gov executive prattling that it was important to the USA that the UK stay in yhe EU.

The impression I got was of someone with cosy govt relationships worried about a loss of global governance keeping others in check. I.E. having worked so hard to disenfranchise the UK as a good example for the USA next, they were unhappy at the prospect of a return to soverenty and self rule…

    Nothing else made much sense…

I think we need to have some kind of Globalist Watch started to keep tabs on them…

E.M. there is a BBC watch organisation keeping an eye on the coverage bias. e.g. http://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/ryan-bourne-just-three-per-cent-of-bbc-guests-back-brexit/

The BBC has got a busy period ahead of them keeping up a full scale global-warming campaign at the same time as mobilising fully to campaign against Brexit in Europe and Donald Trump in the US.

And they still have a Jimmy Saville rearguard action to fight against a background of charter renewal with a UK government they didn’t want and don’t like.

I haven’t decided how I’ll vote on the Brexit issue but, after witnessing the BBC shenanigans over their reporting of the Paris climate twaddle, it is now more transparently obvious to me to see through the BBC modus operandi. They are going up through the gears, cranking out a continuous stream of stories and “experts” who claim Brexit might be the end of British life as we know it, or maybe even as bad as global warming models.
