This alternative to man-made climate doom and gloom has been held to counter the contrived scares of much of the media and the IPCC propaganda machine, which likes to claim the CO2 tail is somehow wagging the climate dog.

Dusseldorf, Germany — Global warming skeptics have descended upon the UN climate summit in Germany this week, hosting a summit of their own to highlight the errors of the UN’s climate change claims, writes Marc Morano.

On the final day of the skeptics’ climate summit, the group gathered for a champagne toast to the U.S. climate exit or “clexit” from the UN Paris pact.

Europeans at German summit praise USA for exiting UN climate pact:

Lord Christopher Monckton, former Thatcher adviser: “President Trump is right. He speaks not only for the former Democrat workers from the rust-belt states whom the new totalitarians have callously abandoned but also for all who fear the establishment of the global totalitarian rule on the specious pretext of saving the planet. The science behind global warming has collapsed. So too will the “climate process”, a rent-seekers’ nirvana in which the many are compelled to impoverish themselves to enrich the gilded few.”

Dr. Holger Thus, President of the EIKE – European Institute for Climate & Energy on U.S. climate exit: “It was very important. What people don’t want to see is the U.S. is blamed for a lot of things, but in the past, it has also been paying for a lot of things. The core of the message of President Trump was is that he is no longer willing to pay things are not in the interest of the United States. The U.S. could be a policy model for other countries. There are many countries that are thinking of undertaking such steps.”

French climate skeptic Pierre Bouteille of the French group Climato-Réalistes on U.S. climate exit: “It was a boost to our morale. On climate Trump is doing the right thing. He is appointing the right people.”

  4. gymnosperm says:

Bravo James! At least a twinge of scientific integrity…except that the average ocean surface temperature has been rising by all accounts and the surface air temperature has also been rising. Under these circumstances, Henry’s law dictates that the oceans simply cannot be eating CO2. The oceans must be outgassing CO2.

  5. Paul Vaughan says:

Celebration is premature because we don’t yet know if justice will withstand the tests of time.

  6. Richard111 says:

The claim that warm oceans ‘outgas CO2’ strikes me as odd. Given the extent of the oceans a slight reduction in absorbance seems more likely.

  7. oldbrew says:

Richard – as gymnosperm says, see Henry’s law:

‘…the concentration of a solute gas in a solution is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas above the solution. This statement is known as Henry’s law’.

If the ocean has a higher concentration than the air it must outgas, in theory at least.

    • “”They (Spanish authorities) are violating many rights of freedom against our people”
    • “Barcelona’s police said 750,000 people attended the rally.”
    • “The European Union has warned that an independent Catalonia would be cast out of the 28-nation bloc.”

Is it right if no love’s left for Catalonia?

The heart of the climate discussion died a similarly poisonous death.
In a few years, Trump enthusiasts will face the same end.

What appears upon naive inspection to be a pointless race from one dead-end to the next is our golden means.

    – –

    Piece and Harmony

Note the needles lying along the major western fault, following the fatal outbreak of addiction to devilish assumptions.

Necessity’s the brightly principled mother of stabilizing invention.

Mainstream reports of local change — e.g. Brexit, Catalonia, Czech Republic, US Trump-Sanders eccentricity, Veneto, Lombardy, etc. — overlook the role of piece in harmony.

Division’s a tool with bad and good applications. Contrasting principled division with reckless lack thereof, the alternative to unstable unity is stable division.

    Nature isn’t uniform.
The brightest 1/5 adapt and overcome.
Stability principles are independent of left-right political axes.

Stable freedom from reckless left-right political fracture hinges trivially on principled division.

God’s golden legacy is the simplest recipe for stable independence and freedom:

1 stabilizing piece at a time, it churns out golden.
God’s brilliant wheels keep churning while the devil’s red tape threatens seizure.

Conditions are ripening for a broadening alliance, because no stable option’s left but to do what’s right.

  10. tallbloke says:

The misapplication of Henry’s law to the oceans fails to take into account multidecadal changes in upwelling of cold bottom water caused by LOD changes induced by lunar-planetary cycles.

Boy are they in for a shock.

BBC: First CO2 rise in four years puts pressure on Paris targets

Global emissions of CO2 in 2017 are projected to rise for the first time in four years, dashing hopes that a peak might soon be reached.

The main cause of the expected growth has been greater use of coal in China as its economy expanded.
    . . .
“Global CO2 emissions appear to be going up strongly once again after a three-year stable period. This is very disappointing,” said the lead author of the study.
    . . .
“There have been lots of ups and downs in the use of coal but in the background there has been no weakening in the use of oil and gas. And that is quite worrisome.”

The report has been launched in Bonn where UN negotiators are trying to move forward with the rules for the Paris climate agreement.

‘hopes that a peak might soon be reached’ – before renewables take over? Forget it.

Renewable energy, collectively provides only about 7 percent of the world’s energy needs. This means that fossil fuels, along with nuclear energy — a non-renewable energy source — are supplying 93% of the world’s energy resources.

Some of that 7% is biomass aka wood burning. Some variations in coal use can be related to the weather:

Another important factor in China has been lower water levels in rivers which have seen a drop in the amount of electricity made from hydro-power, with utilities turning to coal and gas to make up the shortfall.

Lomborg makes it 0.7% for wind and solar…

NASA: Arctic Ice Free And Manhattan Underwater – In Six Weeks!
    NOVEMBER 13, 2017

NASA’s top climate expert, James Hansen, predicted that by 2018 the Arctic would be ice-free and Lower Manhattan would be underwater. Democrats call him a “climate prophet.” Only six weeks left to go!

Bring on the next crazed prediction 😂

  15. Paul Vaughan says:

“”WikiLeaks […] and others “are trying to interfere and manipulate” amid the Catalonia crisis.
Spain said last week that the signs don’t necessarily mean the Russian government is involved””

This mentality is really starting to not make sense.
    The hubris is so thick.

Everything’s interconnected so of course people from all over the world are campaigning in each others’ elections.

I suggest sober pause for reflective perspective on units and what order of units makes stable sense:

Stability principles are universal. It’s pure math.
Never mind “science” based on devilishly adjustable assumptions — it’s not a worthy ethical guidepost. Religion is superior. Pure logic is superior.

Climate discussion is dead. The pink slip went out a year and a half ago.

The #1 issue in the world right now is stability.

There’s important work to do and a broader discussion makes sense now in light of the way the world has changed. There’s more good news too: This is a great opportunity to leave behind all of the people who completely ruined the climate discussion.
