UK Onshore Oil and Gas (UKOOG) attempts the difficult task of trying to persuade a renewables-obsessed MP that relying on imports of gas is illogical when we have plenty of our own waiting to be exploited, if only official policies were anywhere near realistic.

    Every Dollar or Pound spent on foreign fuels is one less in your economy In effect a tax on your GDP that is sent to unfriendly nations! WHAT kind of FOOL would want to do that ?

    Energy is the fundamental building of a modern nation’s wealth. Why would a patriot want to deliberately beggar his countrymen in favor of their nation’s competitors? …pg

    Game over, for now at least…

    The UK will impose a moratorium on fracking, effective immediately, following the publication of a damning scientific study on Saturday.

    A new report by the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) warned the technique had a dangerously high risk of causing disruption to local communities through earth tremors of unpredictably high magnitude. The government announced on Saturday it would therefore issue a complete ban on the procedure.

    if it can’t be predicted then how do you know that there’s a chance of it to occur??

    the lack of logic in a quasi religious political crusade is sickening. So is the economic suicide pact currently in vogue in Parliament.
