Yes, it IS hard to believe there’s no evidence — so ask the IPCC yourself

All you’re likely to hear from promoters of climate alarm are ‘balance of probability’ arguments.

“The influence of mankind on climate is trivially true and numerically insignificant.” – Dr Richard Lindzen

So you say the science is settled, you trust 97% of climate scientists and you call me a denier, writes Richard Treadgold @ Climate Conversation.

It’s hardly surprising and I sympathise with that view—we’ve been badgered over it for years.

But all we sceptics do is ask you, “What’s the evidence?” There’s no denial in that, so what’s your answer? If the science really is settled, what evidence is it based on?

There’s been a tide of global warming propaganda for the last few decades, so if there was any proof we are causing dangerous warming, do you think they’d let us forget it? The fact that we don’t know what it is shows they don’t have any proof.

New Zealanders are generally level-headed and straight talking and they know the climate isn’t falling apart like the IPCC claim it is. They just don’t believe the warmster narrative.

A globe-encircling scandal

Regrettably, nobody has evidence for dangerous man-made global warming. If anyone tells you there is, ask them what it is—how does it happen, what’s the mechanism? Then please tell me.

I’ve asked the Royal Society to give me evidence and they gave me nothing.

They suggested I ask the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), so I did. They’ve no evidence either.

You’ve heard that 97% of scientists agree with man-made global warming. But it was a fraudulent study. It showed the consensus consisted of only 3% of climate scientists.

I’m not the denier here. Our foremost climate authority, the IPCC, has no proof of dangerous man-made warming. It’s a globe-encircling scandal.

The climate emergency is a fantasy, but the money it’s costing you is real

Don’t believe me, ask them yourself.

Below [see link] you can get contact details for the IPCC Secretariat in Geneva, the RSNZ, the NZ Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre and the NZ Climate Change Research Institute. Or you might trust the Ministry for the Environment, though they gave me nothing and told me to ask the IPCC. So did their Minister, James Shaw—also the Minister for Climate Change.

  1. Gamecock says:

There is no evidence. Climate (sic) alarmism is a grand argumentum ad ignorantium.

They can’t figure out what causes global temperature variation, therefore, it must be Man.

That’s it. That’s the whole of Man Made Global Warming.

  2. oldbrew says:

They soon run into difficulties when they find that significant climate variations are commonplace throughout Earth’s history, including its recent history in the last thousand years or so: Medieval Warm Period, Little Ice Age.

Change is the default, if measuring over long enough periods.

  3. Curious George says:

They replaced Global Warming with Climate Change. Now even a cold winter counts.

  4. stpaulchuck says:

Curious George, you must have missed the latest memo. It’s now climate catastrophe, as in CAGW.

After some twenty years of hectoring us about our ‘carbon footprint’ while they fly about in private jets, have four or five massive mansions, frolic about on massive yachts the size of a cruise ship, you would think the general public would catch on. There is evidence the public is just bored with it all as they see nothing out of the ordinary of the weather, but they won’t (as usual) get up from the TV and cast these snake oil salesmen off the stage.

IMAO, every academic that swears that we are killing the planet and that our children will suffer greatly if we do not switch to windmills, solar panels, and stop eating meat, should have their credentials taken from them and burnt in the public square (and maybe them along with it).

Years from now when this is finally and fully revealed for the massive scam that it is, AGW will bump the Piltdown Man from it’s title as top scientific hoax.

  5. oldbrew says:

TV historian David Starkey goes on a rant…

He attacked the Left for using offence at inadvertent racist comments to shut down online debate like “the Grand Inquisitor” and said adults were “fools” for taking seriously the environmental warnings from the Swedish teenage activist Greta Thunberg.

Mr Starkey said it was “frankly mad” that politicians like former Environment secretary Michael Gove prostrated themselves before Miss Thunberg when she warned about threats to the environment.

He said: “The Middle Ages is filled with child saints and intelligent adult people like Michael Gove, prostrating themselves before them … God speaks through the mouths of babes and sucklings … and it is frankly mad.”

Adults were “fools for treating her seriously. But you see, it also goes along with the sentimentality, it goes along with Diana-fication, it goes along with putting little teddy bears on war memorials. But again, you see, this is also mediaeval: offering up gifts at the shrine.”

  6. Steve Borodin says:

Well said. I have been asking the evidence question for nearly 20 years. All you get is deleted or abused. Occasionally someone comes up with some cretinous garbage like ‘The science is settled’. I sometimes send them a copy of the Navier-Stokes equations and ask for the solution. I know who the deniers are.. Take the BBC. They preach tolerance and inclusivity. But they are terrified of anyone who might challenge their bigotry and cannot tolerate their views, which tend to be evidence-based.
