The annual game of chase-your-own-tail kicks off once again.

Science Matters

The upcoming COP25 will be hosted by Chile, but held in Madrid because of the backlash in Santiago against damaging effects of costly climate policies.  The gathering had been previously cancelled by a newly elected skeptical Brazilian president. The change of venue has led to “a scale down of expectations” and participation from the Chilean side, said Mónica Araya, a former lead negotiator for Costa Rica, but the presidency’s priorities are unchanged. In the wings of the Cop25 talks, hosts Spain and Chile will push governments to join a coalition of progressive nations pledging to raise their targets in response to the 2018 over-the-top IPCC SR15 climate horror movie.  See UN Horror Show

Of course Spain is the setting for the adventures of Don Quixote ( “don key-ho-tee” ) in Cervantes’ famous novel.  The somewhat factually challenged hero charged at some windmills claiming they were enemies, and is celebrated in the…

This shows the level of ignorance.

U.N. chief warns of ‘point of no return’ on climate change

Guterres said growing demands from citizens, particularly young people, have shown there is widespread desire for climate action.

“What is still lacking is political will,” he said. “Political will to put a price on carbon. Political will to stop subsidies on fossil fuels. Political will to stop building coal power plants from 2020 onwards. Political will to shift taxation from income to carbon. Taxing pollution instead of people.”

He either thinks, or pretends to, that ‘carbon’ and ‘carbon dioxide’ mean the same thing. Show us one thing that carbon dioxide i.e. CO2 has ‘polluted’. Idiotic.

Glucose is a simple sugar with the molecular formula C6H12O6.
    . . .
Glucose is mainly made by plants and most algae during photosynthesis from water and carbon dioxide, using energy from sunlight.

‘For the past three decades, the climate policy ‘cart’ has been way out in front of the scientific ‘horse’. The 1992 Climate Change treaty was signed by 190 countries before the balance of scientific evidence suggested even a discernible observed human influence on global climate. The 1997 Kyoto Protocol was implemented before we had any confidence that most of the recent warming was caused by humans. There has been tremendous political pressure on the scientists to present findings that would support these treaties, which has resulted in a drive to manufacture a scientific consensus on the dangers of manmade climate change.’

The cart keeps going downhill and the horse has been left far behind.

Basically all of this hand waving is political and has nothing to do with science, not even the stupid so called ‘climate science’. The only place where politics and climate science come together is where the money flows from the politics to the ‘scientists’ to pay them for their twisted support of the UN push for a Socialist one world government under the UN.

A Telegraph writer has wised up today…
The UN’s ‘woke’ climate change propaganda is an insult to science

I was always a ‘middle-grounder’, rather than a ‘denier’ – until I discovered the extent of the dishonesty [paywalled after intro]

The Doomer is a popular internet character that presents itself as an individual with a bleak, depressing outlook on life. A Doomer is someone who feels a sense of aimlessness and loneliness. For the Doomer life is meaningless, and the world is inevitably doomed by humanity’s ignorance, greed, and futility.
    . . .
An example of something a Doomer may believe is that the global problems, including, but not limited to those of ecological exhaustion, such as overpopulation, climate change, and pollution–will cause the collapse of civilization, significant human population die-off, and potentially lead to eventual human extinction.
