Is there a legal limit to the more outlandish claims of climate alarmists, or if not, why not?

USA Today has now provided a perfect example of promoting model based panic.
Here is their panicky title: “Unsuitable for ‘human life to flourish’: Up to 3B will live in extreme heat by 2070, study warns“
Three billion people will live where humans cannot survive? Seriously? Will they become billions of climate refugees? That is the absurd idea, right?
USA Today is a trusted source for many people, but here they publish pure nonsensical alarmist speculation as accepted fact. Note that the headline does not say “study suggests”. No it is “study warns” as though this nonsense were real and something to act on. Perhaps a ten year lockdown is called for…

The gullible believers are getting desperate. Fewer and fewer people are listening and soon even the politicians will be wondering whether it is worth spending lots of taxpayers money for no return.
As the money starts to dry up the desperation will be increasing. Wilder and wilder predictions will be made, causing them to lose even more credibility. They are in a downward cycle to derision and oblivion.
Some alarmists at least have worked out that making wild claims for a few years ahead can be embarrassing, so 2050-2100 has become a more popular timescale.
The more amateur ones still go for doomsday predictions over shorter periods that invariably come up empty. Then there are a few hardy annuals like an ‘ice-free Arctic’, which always seems to be ‘rapidly melting’ and/or facing ‘accelerated warming’ (etc.) but never gets anywhere near the logical result of that.
Social media likes to censor climate sceptics, but scaring the children is OK?
It would be illuminating (and likely hilarious) to assemble an annotated bibliography of all the doomsday titles published over the last century, from press releases to rags.
I haven’t trusted USA Today since their second edition.

I think some of you must have a lot of money in the bank and you’re missing something that is absolutely serious: 3 billion is the number of human beings whose human rights were just severely violated. The left have become rabid savages. Those 3 billion people will run out of money and become homeless if course isn’t corrected with a severe vengeance. This is deadly serious.
No one gives a f*** about climate “issues” right now.
Wealthy conservative allies: Match any rescue package the left proposes. Don’t let them use that as a nuclear weapon. Keeping people from drowning from lockdown now will cost a year of investment (since officials failed to listen when we promoted prevention). It will take years to rehabilitate otherwise and many will never be the same. Keep in mind these aren’t dysfunctional drug addicts who’ve proven for decades they’ll waste handouts. These are people who were totally functional and working ten times harder than any of you up until the left f***d them over with a series of baseball bats to the face.
This is not being handled appropriately by any government anywhere on the planet. Give them euthanasia if your plan is to do nothing. If the right opposes help for these people the left is going to win the biggest landslide victory in human history not because of ideology but because of extreme severe immediate need. The left isn’t responsible enough to be handling this nuke. TAKE IT FROM THEM. Be the master of generosity so they can’t rape the world. You have to get it right. It’s no-fail territory.
