Will the UK media be rushing to interview again all the climate doomster pundits they gave airtime and column inches to earlier this month, when there was a heatwave for a week or so?

Top temperatures could reach 19°C in London while parts of Scotland will be chillier with highs of 11°C, well below the average of 16°C usually seen in the country. This is in stark contrast to last year’s late August Bank Holiday Monday which was the hottest on record, with 33.2°C recorded at Heathrow. ‘We could see some places getting the coldest maximum temperatures on record this Bank Holiday Monday,’ Ms Salter said. This week has already seen areas battered by flash flooding and torrential downpours, causing traffic chaos as roads were forced to close in the south.

This is only weather. Only warm records qualify as climate.

    Hummm,
Might have to pull the duvet out for those probably very cold nights.
Typical British summer weather — it’s quite variable! If you’re not baking hot you’re getting soaked, and now you’ll have to watch out for possible overnight frost. Not that dissimilar to early 1970s weather. E.g. 1971, http://london-weather.eu/article.35.html .

They say ‘it could be the coldest on record’ which begs the question of which record are they talking about, after all the climate mob have records set up for every occasion.

  6. […] turn out to be the ‘coldest August Bank Holiday evah!’. Well, for ‘some regions’, that is (link), with London going to be ‘hotter’ than Scotland – amazing, isn’t […]

  7. John, Uk says:

Good grief, how will we cope? None but a fool goes for a day out in the car on a British Bank Holiday IMHO so I’ll probably set out from home for a walk and if I feel too cold – I’ll turn around and walk back home. Hopefully I’ll survive!

    Arctic Ice Returns to Mean
1 Day Ago by Ron Clutz

The melting season this year showed ice extents much below the 13-year average, but the decline moderated in August and presently is close to the mean and to 2007.

    D. Mail: What a difference a year makes! Only the hardiest of holidaymakers hit Britain’s beaches as temperatures plunge to 11C on coldest late August bank holiday for half a century – after crowds basked in 92F sunshine on this day in 2019

The group of four men, expecting a standard late-August Bank Holiday summer hike, ran into trouble after inclement weather set-in and with temperatures fast-plunging, they made the emergency call.
