Attenborough’s new attempt to scare people about polar bear extinction and walrus deaths

The doomsters will be falling over themselves to throw money at him, which seems to be the object of the exercise: ‘In a new book and Netflix film’ etc.

In a new book and Netflix film, Sir David Attenborough again presents false information about future polar bear survival and walrus deaths.

An excerpt from Attenborough’s forthcoming book (A Life On Our Planet) has been published in the Daily Mail (12 September), called “End of the polar bear by the 2030s, another major pandemic in the 2080s… and a sixth mass extinction by 2100: SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH reveals how those born today could witness these scenarios unless we save the planet“.  As his upcoming documentary has the same title as the book, this excerpt forewarns of what’s in the film.

Attenborough falsely claims that by 2030 – a short 10 years from now – polar bears will be on their way to extinction and again flogs the lie, exposed last year, that walrus falling to their deaths in Russia a few years ago was due to…

The problem is that does not appear to be any Polar Bear scientists around who will support Susan Crockford, who the warmists class as a non polar bear scientist.
ie that is not her job.
So they rubbish anything she says by personal attack.

  2. Coeur de Lion says:

According to nsidc Arctic polar ice has just bottomed out at 3.7 million square kilometres which is the second time below 4 million since 2007. (WE ARE ALL DOOMED.) The other year was 2012. That’s 16 times the area of U.K. Any bets for next year? So is it fair to say that the Arctic is not melting any more?

  3. Peter Norman says:

AC The warmists are not interested in science facts. Some years back, researchers led by Frank Hailer of the Biodiversity and Climate Research Centre in Frankfurt, Germany (a joint venture between Senckenberg Nature Research Society and Goethe University) analyzed the nuclear DNA of 45 bears, including polar bears (Ursus maritimus) brown bears (Ursus arctos) and black bears (Ursus americanus)

The results suggested that polar bears emerged around 600,000 years ago, which would mean the species has already survived several glacial periods and inter-glacial warm periods.

You would think Attenborough would know this if he had actually studied natural history science but sadly he did not!

  4. Graeme No.3 says:

Attenborough apparently studied geology, graduating in 1947. Anything he learnt is probably obsolete.
He is 94 now and IMHO suffering from Biden’s disease.

  5. ivan says:

Since, as far as I know, Attenborough is NOT a scientist but he is a front man for WWF and a few other enviro-mentalist organisations so anything he ‘writes’ is suspect from the start. Onr thing we have to give him is that his ravings, on behalf of his supporting organisations, does provide him with a very good income. Other than that he can be considered a non starter as far as science goes.

How likely is it that he will be confronted by his own failed prediction? He’s getting on a bit, but meanwhile book and film revenues should be healthy 😏

We need more BS!! People need to develop a robust immunity to scurrilous BS.

What David Attenborough’s ‘Extinction: The Facts’ didn’t tell you

It was only a matter of time before Covid-19 got swept up into the wider narrative of humans facing impending doom thanks to our abuse of the planet. But one might have expected better of Sir David Attenborough. His latest BBC documentary, Extinction: The Facts, broadcast on Sunday night might as well have been produced by Extinction Rebellion, so determined was it to present a hysterical picture of apocalypse caused by consumerism and capitalism.
    . . .
The idea that we face a terrifying future of infectious disease flies in the face of reality.

Of course no right of reply will be allowed by the ‘impartial’ BBC 😫

Senile dementia is a terrible thing to witness.

He’s been busted. But he carries on, anyway.
