An excerpt from Attenborough’s forthcoming book (A Life On Our Planet) has been published in the Daily Mail (12 September), called “End of the polar bear by the 2030s, another major pandemic in the 2080s… and a sixth mass extinction by 2100: SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH reveals how those born today could witness these scenarios unless we save the planet“. The problem is that does not appear to be any Polar Bear scientists around who will support Susan Crockford, who the warmists class as a non polar bear scientist.
ie that is not her job.
So they rubbish anything she says by personal attack.
According to nsidc Arctic polar ice has just bottomed out at 3.7 million square kilometres which is the second time below 4 million since 2007. (WE ARE ALL DOOMED.) The other year was 2012. That’s 16 times the area of U.K. Any bets for next year? So is it fair to say that the Arctic is not melting any more?

The results suggested that polar bears emerged around 600,000 years ago, which would mean the species has already survived several glacial periods and inter-glacial warm periods.
You would think Attenborough would know this if he had actually studied natural history science but sadly he did not!
Attenborough apparently studied geology, graduating in 1947. Anything he learnt is probably obsolete.
He is 94 now and IMHO suffering from Biden’s disease.
Since, as far as I know, Attenborough is NOT a scientist but he is a front man for WWF and a few other enviro-mentalist organisations so anything he ‘writes’ is suspect from the start. Onr thing we have to give him is that his ravings, on behalf of his supporting organisations, does provide him with a very good income. Other than that he can be considered a non starter as far as science goes.

It was only a matter of time before Covid-19 got swept up into the wider narrative of humans facing impending doom thanks to our abuse of the planet. But one might have expected better of Sir David Attenborough. His latest BBC documentary, Extinction: The Facts, broadcast on Sunday night might as well have been produced by Extinction Rebellion, so determined was it to present a hysterical picture of apocalypse caused by consumerism and capitalism.
