Global warming hiatus was real, Chinese study finds

The inconvenient ‘pause’ following the strong El Niño of 1997-98 comes back to life in this study. Attempts by climate alarmists to bury it have failed.

A new analysis of global air temperature by researchers from Tongji University in Shanghai has cast light on the much debated recent hiatus in global temperature, says Dr David Whitehouse @ The GWPF.

Writing in the Journal of Earth Science the Chinese scientists say there was a rapid rise in global mean surface air temperature after the late 1970s but that this stalled and there was a relative stagnation and even slight cooling that lasted for about 15 years (1998–2012).

They add that even though the slowdown was acknowledged by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Fifth Assessment Report (IPCC AR5) and termed as a hiatus (IPCC, 2013) there was a debate in the scientific community about whether there was a hiatus in global warming or not.

The researchers believe that the debate about the global warming hiatus poses a substantial challenge to our understanding of the global climate response to anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions and natural variability.

They say that the disagreements about the recent global warming hiatus mainly arise from different sources, among which differences across observational SAT datasets may be a key contributor to the contradictory conclusions. So they use an alternative set of data.

They use the ratio of two oxygen isotopes in precipitation, oxygen 16 and 18, which is a proxy for the temperature of precipitation and surface temperature.

James Hansen Admits Global Temperature Standstill Is Real
    Date: 17/01/13 Dr David Whitehouse

The GWPF has been right all along. In a new report Hansen, Sato and Ruedy (2013) acknowledge the existence of a standstill in global temperature lasting a decade.

No standstill in human-caused CO2 emissions in that period of course.

Eh? Stop debating and get your heads on straight. That’s what produces understanding.

British astrophysicist: “mini ice age is accelerating – New ‘Maunder Minimum’ has begun,” look at changes in Beaufort Gyre

    SEPTEMBER 23, 2020
“We are plunging now into a deep mini ice age,” says British astrophysicist Piers Corbyn, “and there is no way out”.

Meanwhile Twitter and Fakebook Facebook censors are losing the climate plot as their AGW fantasies crumble.

Social Media channels are restricting […] reach: […] are purging followers while […] are labeling posts as “false” and have slapped-on crippling “page restrictions”:

    > “Pages that repeatedly publish or share misleading content will see
    > their distribution reduced, their ability to monetize and advertise
    > removed, and their ability to register as a news Page removed.
    > Deleting the misleading content won’t affect these outcomes.”

According to mainstream media, elite politicians want big tech monopolies controlling the censorship.
A vote doesn’t do much, but in this case we don’t even have a vote.

The left is severely outdoing the right on media control. IT’s pure dystopia closing in from every direction. All the power is being shifted to entities that do not answer directly to citizens. We’ll still have extremely active democracy …but IT won’t be anything more than wind “power”.

Now don’t let that depress you. It’s an observation. Observations influence the discourse. Discourse can — and does — flip switches. You know politicians. They like to spin things around. Sure it looks like everything’s going one way — helps them fool everyone. Then one day: Who even remembers any of those big tech censors? It will happen some day. Not even the spin-masters can say when, but you know they’ll never stop flipping a bunch of switches — weather by dark ignorance or deception.

My suggestion is force a situation where there are least 5 severely formidable competitors for each big tech — and do it now before they have the power to crush absolutely, which they will soon if they keep SEVERELY outsmarting the political elite who have control OVER NOTHING.
