Advance Briefing for Glasgow COP 2021

Ideas like carbon capture, green hydrogen, monster batteries and so on merely tell us the obsession with a ‘net zero’ future is impossible to achieve – apart from being absurd anyway.

Science Matters

Presently the next climate Conference of Parties is scheduled for Glasgow this November, Covid allowing.  (People used to say “God willing”, or “Weather permitting”, but nowadays it’s a virus in charge.)  Actually, climate hysteria is like a seasonal sickness.  Each year a contagion of anxiety and fear is created by disinformation going viral in both legacy and social media in the run up to the autumnal COP (postponed last year due to pandemic travel restrictions).  Now that climatists have put themselves at the controls of the formidable US federal government, we can expect the public will be hugely hosed with alarms over the next few months.  Before the distress signals go full tilt, individuals need to inoculate themselves against the false claims, in order to build some herd immunity against the nonsense the media will promulgate. This post is offered as a means to that end.

Media Climate Hype is…

Och mann! as a neigbour said today after feeding the cows in the deep snow which surprised us all. ( forecast was once again, completely wrong for this area) Aye great thing this wee virus that nobody can see around: it’ll maybe keep the green blob away from us for a while. Pity though that they didn’t bide by their convictions and ban ALL Plastic for the PPE. where would we be then? Hu, MAYBE the green Blob IS THE VIRUS. Greata? where are you?

  2. ivan says:

I have a slogan for them.

Save the earth, it’s the only planet that has Chocolate and it needs more CO2.

It has more meaning than any of the slogans they will come out with.

  3. Aequitas says:

I can’t understand why the politicos in my country by into this big lie of lies.

  4. TomO says:

Yikes … went to the web site

There’s even a pre-COP with Italians and added youth.

The Interpretive Modern Dance crew are already in there…. see COP Cringe Fringe

Then there’s an impressive troupe of faith groups

    You can VOLUNTEER

No word on standby generators yet ….

I wonder if a sequel to the Di-Hydrogen Monoxide scare can be cooked up? – looks like a concentration of wholly credulous gravy train crew will be flying in.

  5. Gamecock says:

Green hydrogen? Nahchet. But they are working on it.

‘U.S. Department of Transportation Code 192.625, natural gas must be “readily detectable by a person with a normal sense of smell.” This is so our noses can be our built-in safety detectors for possible natural gas leaks.’

They have NOT found a suitable smell agent they can use in hydrogen to make it safe. If it leaks, nobody knows til the fire dept and bomb squad arrive.

But wait . . . cos it’s green*, they’ll accept the ridiculous risk of piping it into people’s homes.

*Just like they accept the horrible toll on birds and bats from windmills. You kill a bird? BIG FINE! They kill a bird . . . uhh . . . what?

  6. pochas94 says:

We’re off to see The Wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz.

  7. gbaikie says:

So, the idiots want to be empowered {to waste untold trillions of dollars] in order to change weather.
{Change weather in our Ice Age}}. But everyone already knows {even the idiots know] they can change weather. The trillions will not prevent forest fires. They would not stop hurricanes. They will not stop sea rise- Ie New Orleans will still sink.
But they will burn more wood, and they will add toxic waste from building wind mills and solar farms.

And we probably going to be entering glaciational period fairly soon, and they aren’t doing anything about that.

  8. oldbrew says:

    No warming today…

Temperature of -22.9C in Braemar ‘UK’s lowest in 26 years’

The Met Office says an overnight temperature of -22.9C recorded in Scotland is believed to be the lowest in more than 25 years.

BBC weather presenter Simon King described the temperatures in Braemar, Aberdeenshire, as “incredible”.

The Met Office said it was provisionally the coldest night since 1995.

What should be the UN-IPCC opening theme song and the reason for ‘UN-EXIT NOW!’

I’m still of the opinion that if this UN-IPCC political group of mass confabulationist ne’er-do-wells should happen in Scotland, then St. Kilda is the place it should happen (see,_Scotland). It has after all a great ‘International Sea & Airport Lounge’ is situated adjacent to the helipad and landing craft slipway and plenty of empty buildings.
