The seasons are changing, and for many of us that means it’s time for a spring clean. My back patio has been gathering months’ worth of soil and winter debris, so I now need to blow it up. I will use the same method to clean the grime off my car. After ensuring the area is clear, and any nearby houses or pedestrians are safe, I will subject the car to lots of explosions. In each case, I shall be using a power washer, of the kind that Halfords sells for around 50 quid.

Net Zero Rules On Chopping Block To Boost North Sea Oil Production
Greg Hands, a business minister, told the House of Commons on Tuesday that the Oil and Gas Authority is “ready to consider” an application to extend the use of the two fracking sites in Lancashire.
Owned by the energy firm Cuadrilla, the wells were the first to frack onshore in the UK but the company has been ordered to seal them with concrete.
Mr. Hands said: “I can tell my honorable friend that my right honorable friend the Secretary for State and I met with the Oil and Gas Authority on Tuesday and they are ready to consider Cuadrilla’s letter and potential application and the Government hopes the regulator would consider it favorably.”

Energy supply is obviously a more pressing issue than the ridiculous so-called climate crisis. Even more so if Farage is breathing down your neck.
Oldbrew, it’s nice to see political survival ring in once and a while in favor of the people. We’re getting some of that here in the US in regards to the scamdemic nonsense about masking and forcing people to take the clot shots. It’s only two years late but better late than never as the saying goes.
Our power mad types keep trying to segue over to ‘climate catastrophe’ in order to keep going on their rape of the Constitution. The general public is so bored by the CAGW nonsense by now but the bought and paid for media never met a tyrannical government or strategy they didn’t like so they’ll be in full hew and cry as soon as they get the ‘go’ signal from Washington.

My understanding is that the “extension” Cuadrilla can apply for is not an extension to frack but an extension to the period of time they have to concrete the wells.
The debate the other day on fracking in the Commons was Brexit deja vue – about five speakers against fracking for every one supporting. Only Burcow was missing.
