Dear Petter. Please consider that if its pressure was lower the atmosphere would be less compressed so the thermal energy per unit volume less and therefore the temperture lower. Ipso facto, the particular force of gravity – which determines compression – is responsible for atmospheric thermal enhancement ATE. That which is attributable to gravity cannot be attributed to the GE, so the Anthropogenic theory of Global Warming – which requires the GE to be responsible for the ATE – falls over that simply.

It’s much simpler than this. The only evidence for the thermal potency of the Greenhouse Effect is the 33K Atmospheric Thermal Enhancement, but if atmospheric pressure was lower the air would be cooler (c.f. barometric behaviour). Accordingly, it is the particular strength of Earth’s gravity that accounts for the ATE, not the GE as required by the Anthropogenic Theory of Global Warming. Please apply the brakes and not zoom away from this point, and instead stop here a while and stroke your chin as you reconsider the whole business from this elementary point of view – ipso facto there is no thermal consequence attaching to the GE.
Try asking the IPCC for their calculation of the pressure-based component of the ATE and you will find that this stumps them completely!
The simplicity of this fact means that many will be able to understand so that the penny can drop that the AGW is a lie and a terrible one with painful and despotic consequences.
