No matter what the evidence and reasoning put forward, the notion of modern CO2 increases *following* warming will always be a non-starter for climate alarmists.

Science Matters

Currently some Zero Carbon zealots are trying to discredit and disappear a peer reviewed study of CO2 atmospheric concentrations because its findings contradict IPCC dogma.  The paper is World Atmospheric CO2, Its 14C Specific Activity, Non-fossil Component, Anthropogenic Fossil Component, and Emissions (1750–2018). by Skrable et al. (2022).  The link is to the paper and also shows the comments recently addressed to the authors and the editor of the journal, as well as responses by both.

This came to my attention by way of a comment by one of the attackers on my 2022 post regarding this study.  Text is below in italics with my bolds.

This post is over a year old, but in the interest of correcting the record, please note the following:
1. Skrable et al. have conceded that the data they “guesstimated” bore little resemblance to actual atmospheric radiocarbon data.

over a decade ago, true scientists went over ice core data and other information sources and clearly noted that CO2 increases AFTER the oceans warm up. Try Henry’s Law for reference and the well published facts about oceans holding massive amounts of dissolved gases when they are cold, including CO2.

And why oh why is water vapor ignored by all their climate geniuses?? It’s all a load of rubbish meant to pick our pockets and take our freedoms.

Maybe bigger computers can straighten things out 🤔

Climate scientists push for access to world’s biggest supercomputers to build better Earth models

Backers hope that a network of next-generation modelling centres will help to whittle away uncertainties about the effects of global warming.

Even in the climate-science community, some researchers question the proposal’s cost, practicality and scientific pay-off.

“There are a lot of good ideas in there, and it can be galvanizing to talk about these things,” says Gavin Schmidt, who leads NASA’s climate-modelling team at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York. “But ultimately, I don’t think it’s the way forward.”

So the NASA computer nerds want a bigger and better computer to play games on regardless of it having anything to do with the real world conditions.

I assume their obsession with the life giving CO2 is somehow tied in with the Club of Rome and WEF idea that the world population should be reduced to some mythical ideal number.

  4. oldbrew says:

Schmidt of NASA *doesn’t* think it’s the way forward. But the article hints that may be because he doesn’t want a few monster climate data processing centres (so to speak) taking over in his domain.

The temperature may prove IT IS NOT CO2
    By Joe Bastardi |July 14th, 2023

According to Le Chatelier’s principle process, if a system under equilibrium is subjected to a change in temperature, pressure, or concentration, then the equilibrium shifts itself in such a way as to undo or neutralize the effect of change.

Therefore it is when CO2 was introduced to the system, it should have done most of what it could do. So there is a diminishing return.

But the theory is very nice and tidy INDEPENDENT ALL OTHER NATURAL CONSIDERATIONS.

So if you can ignore and cover up counterarguments and weaponize weather events, you essentially march unopposed. That is the strategy being employed.

British Government Funds Campaign to Rewrite Climate Science Entries on Wikipedia
BY CHRIS MORRISON 16 JULY 2023

A major rewriting of the science published on Wikipedia that is sceptical of the ‘settled’ climate narrative is being funded by a number of Governments from Scandinavia and the U.K. The operation is being directed by the green activist group, the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), under a project titled ‘Improving communication of climate knowledge through Wikipedia’.
