A newly-released documentary from contrarian filmmaker Michael Moore calls green energy a fraud that is destroying the Earth, says Lorrie Goldstein @ The Toronto Sun.
Planet of the Humans also accuses the environmental movement of selling out to corporate and Wall St. interests, by shilling for these so-called renewable technologies.
The film premiered at the Traverse City Film Festival in July, but Moore released it on YouTube for free for 30 days on the eve of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day on Wednesday.
It’s produced, directed and narrated by Jeff Gibbs, a long-time collaborator with Moore, who is the film’s executive producer.
“Everywhere I encountered green energy it wasn’t what it seemed, ” Gibbs says early in the film.
He explains why wind and solar power, electric vehicles, ethanol, biomass and biofuels cannot exist without fossil fuel energy and are environmentally destructive.
Wind turbines eat up arable land, level mountain top forests, require massive amounts of concrete, steel, fibreglass and balsam to construct, fall apart after 20 years and have to be backed up by fossil fuel energy because they only provide intermittent power to the electricity grid.

What’s a ‘green recovery’? Another woolly soundbite from climate propaganda inc.
That was a good documentary. Lots of good information and the agenda wasn’t hidden either.
Whether you agree with all of it or not, the best thing is that someone well known as left wing has blown the whistle on the scam.
This will sow division among the Left and make it hard for Extinction Rebellion and similar nut jobs to press for more renewables. Equally it will make it more difficult for politicians to give in to their demands.

And therein lies the problem, Gummer and Yeo are making too much money from their insider trading to even consider any changes and the members of parliament are too dim to understand that and so do as they are told and pass stupid legislation.

Green lobbyists and climate activists are up to their old tricks
Marc Morano reported on Climate Depot that a pressure campaign has succeeded in getting the distributor to pull the film. Josh Fox, who directed 2010’s semi-factual anti-hydraulic fracturing documentary, Gasland, launched the campaign on Twitter and tweeted Friday afternoon that the distributors had agreed to withdraw Planet of the Humans. Fox also tweeted that he didn’t blame the distributors because they hadn’t seen the film before releasing it.

Sold out? Michael can’t quite bring himself to admit that his self serving liberal elites have lied about Global Warmi Warming. They didn’t sell out, they sold him a bill of goods to enrich themselves on everyone’s backs. He at least recognizes they are self serving money grubbing corporatist.

Planet of the Humans will be remembered because it has sparked a long-overdue debate about the myriad problems with renewables, a list that includes land-use conflicts, intermittency, availability of rare-earth elements, mining, and the lethal toll that wind energy is having on birds and bats. Sure, renewables will grow in the years ahead. But they aren’t enough, not by a long shot. The sooner we accept that fact, the better.
