Posted: November 30, 2022 by oldbrew in alarmism, climate, Critique

Laurence Fox breaks apart the lies repeatedly fed to the public and details the manipulation by the billionaire-funded lobby groups and activists, says Climate Change Dispatch.

If you’re skeptical about climate change or the impact of the environment on our planet, this video is for you.

Climate Lie Number One: Wind Power Is NINE Times CHEAPER Than Gas

Climate Lie Number Two: Island Countries Are SINKING Into The Sea

Climate Lie Number Three: Net Zero WILL Make YOUR Bills Cheaper

Climate Lie Number Four: Storms Are Getting MORE Frequent And MORE Intense

Climate Lie Number Five: Climate Change Is KILLING People

  1. Ned Nikolov, Ph.D. says:

    This is a great video exposing the main climate lies. I’d add at least 2 more to the five lies discussed in the video:

    Lie #6: Climate is driven by invisible trace gases measured in parts per million and billion;
    Lie #7: The physics of climate (i.e. the “greenhouse theory”) is settled science;

    The sad reality is that the entire anthropogenic climate scare is based on a physically wrong theory from the 19th Century “supported” by fabricated data! Manipulation and fabrication of data records of sea-level rise and ocean-heat content increase have been carried out by Science Institutions and international research teams driven by grant money and politics:

    We have recently discovered that even the official atmospheric CO2 records of the past 140 years are most likely the result of a model simulation rather than real measurements. See this thread for details:

    The usual smoke and mirrors…

    British Gas to pay customers to use less energy
    Thursday 1 December 2022

    British Gas has announced a plan to reward customers who reduce their energy usage at peak times.

    The energy company said consumers could earn £4 per day for every unit they reduce.
    . . .
    Chris O’Shea, Centrica Group Chief Executive, said: “The electricity grid is facing increased pressure and smart technology plays a key role in managing a peak demand – reducing consumption has the added benefit of helping consumers save on their energy bills.”

    Somebody has to pay for it in the end 🙄

    Such wheezes weren’t needed before renewables infested the electricity grid.

  4. One more lie to add to the list, but in regard to the political side of the issue: namely that skeptic climate scientists are liars-for-hire working for Big Oil to undercut the certainty of CAGW. Some of you know that I cover the ways that lie falls apart, eg my efforts to hold the BBC accountable for promulgating that false corruption accusation, which I took all the way up to the Ofcom level, please see: “Ofcom Complaint” (RE, “How They Made Us Doubt Everything’ Episode 6 ‘Reposition Global Warming as theory, not fact’”)

    My thanks to Rog and Climate Change Dispatch for this news item, I’ll be contacting the Reclaim The Media folks about my work shortly. Wish I’d had the time and the Exxon-funded staff that would’ve enabled me to take apart the recent BBC “Big Oil vs the World” program, but their screed is a joint venture with a very similar presentation in the U.S. last April (same producer/director, Jane McMullen), which I dissected here: “The Power of the Li’l Green Group in PBS Frontline’s ‘The Power of Big Oil'”

  5. Ned Nikolov, Ph.D. says:

    @Russell Cook,

    I fully agree… it’s a total myth that Big Oil is funding climate sceptics. The truth is that Big Oil is on the same AGW bandwagon together with politicians and the climate-science establishment!

  6. saighdear says:

    Never mind all this: WHY is no one banging the drum for lack of Wind, WHY is no one gluing themselves to things BECAUSE “climate change” has produced NO WIND ….. so that producing windNills a total waste fo time.
    there is an increasing demand now ( 40.6GW @ lunchtime ) and wind only producing 16% really, never mind the %%%%%’s. L@@K at the output 6.6 ( SIX POINT SIX ) GW. I’m deafened by the silence

  7. catweazle666 says:

    But according to the fat fool Johnson, there is ALWAYS wind blowing somewhere!

  8. oldbrew says:

    The more wind+solar power is built, the less chance for gas plants to earn money. That’s bound to throttle interest in building or running them, without suitably generous government incentives aka taxpayers’ money. Their place can’t be taken by nuclear for 2-3 decades, if ever.

  9. Phoenix44 says:

    Building a new gas plant takes substantial upfront resources before yiuceven start construction. Then there’s all the pressure on lenders to stop lending to such projects. Then there’s the prospect of windfall taxes and outriggers on gas.

    Why would anybody bother? Which of course is exactly what the Greens wanted to achieve. Its so much easier to get something stopped via creating lots of problems than getting something done.

  10. saighdear says:

    Phoenix44: you are just so darned right: Its so much easier to get something stopped via creating lots of problems than getting something done.
    I’d been considering delving into the upcycling market butthe paperwork and up-front costs & Licences ( annual ) before I could even Experiment …. the world is the WORSE for it.

  11. catweazle666 says:

    “The more wind+solar power is built, the less chance for gas plants to earn money.”

    And yet the more gas plants are required, oldbrew as I’m sure you’re aware.

    I’m afraid things are liable to get worse before they get better, a change of regime from top to bottom is required, there are too many snouts in the trough, especially in the Quangocracy and Snivel Service.
