Tackle – or generate? Carbon dioxide being a benefit to plants – which it clearly is – will be deemed false if it’s ‘excess’, according to this report. Anything that might cast doubt on climate catastrophism is likely to get the label treatment.

Labels to be attached to posts directing users to Facebook’s Climate Science Information Center, reports The Guardian.
A new section of the Climate Science Information Center, launching alongside the labelling trial, debunks common myths such as the false claim that polar bear populations are not suffering due to global heating, or the widespread belief that excess carbon emissions help plant life.
Facebook is working with climate communication experts from around the world, including at the University of Cambridge, to produce the content.
Dr Sander van der Linden, a Cambridge academic who has worked with Facebook on the centre, said: “The spread of damaging falsehoods endangers the level of international cooperation required to prevent catastrophic global warming.
“Facebook is in a unique position to counter the circulation of online misinformation, and the new climate ‘myth-busting’ section is an important step toward debunking dangerous falsehoods.”

If the atmosphere was valued at $10,000 the CO2 portion (~ 0.0415%) would be worth $4.15 +/- the odd cent.
Another interesting fact is that Sander van der Linden is Professor of Social Psychology, in other words he has no real scientific training at all yet he wants to pontificate on science subjects – but I suppose that applies to all ‘climate scientists’.
Professor van der Linden’s knowledge of psychology makes him an expert in debunking anything.

Throughout most of Earth history, there was more CO2 than there is now… Plants have gradually sequestered it by photosynthesis and buried it underground as fossils… Nature was becoming starving of CO2 in recent millenniums… And now we are liberating that Carbon back to the circulation…
Some of the Agricultural Greenhouses, where they pump 800ppm of CO2 for better growth of plants, convict these climate theorists and carbon tax hustlers of falsehood…
See Wikipedia Jurassic – mean CO2 level 1950 ppm, Triassic – mean CO2 level 1750 ppm… Huge layers of fossils from these times are witness, that plants thrived well in those times… And dinosaurs didn’t become extinct because of heat, but because of meteoric impact and severe cold!
Now we’ve risen from 300 ppm at 1850s only to 460 ppm at present, still a long way to go to reach Optimal levels back (800 to 1700 ppm)…
Maybe if there was 3000 ppm of CO2 or much more, it could be probably damaging (too much acidic from carbonic acid H2CO3? They say we’ve changed pH of oceans by 0.1 since pre-industrial levels of year 1700, with today’s pH in 7.5 .. 8.4 range it’s still too alcalic, with cytosol pH 7.2 (7 to 7.4) in cells, that 0.1 decrease in pH since year 1700 is not critical at all, it’s also about 900 years of linear change to go to the Optimum…?),
and perhaps they can find few plant species, that have problems, if they grow too much ?

On page 3, there is a chart, at top-right corner is “Global Trends & Events” with average CO2 level between 208 and 216 million years ago during Late Triassic, from reference “A 30 million-year record of Late Triassic pCO2 variation supports a fundamental control of the carbon-cycle by changes in continental weathering, Schaller et al, Geol Soc Am Bull 127:661-671” (which I didn’t see but probably it could be found…),
and that chart oscillates between 2000 and 6000 ppm with an average somewhere around 4000 ppm…
So actually the Triassic CO2 levels may have been even higher, than what is specified in Wikipedia…

That’s the theory. Yet no one is suing them. Section 230 speaks in generalities; the details are still unexplored, legally. Which I find odd, because we are several years into media platform mischief.
Also note that Faceitbook has a row with Australia over publishing news site contents. FB is quite literally publishing someone else’s content, and Australia quite reasonably says they have to pay for it.
